So there have been some pretty big changes here as I have already told some of you.  I have decided to release both PDF Indexer and DOC Indexer under GPL.  Why am I doing this?   Well first and foremost because Joomla and PDFtoText are both under GPL and while there are many commercial components out there, it only seems fair to release mine under GPL as well.  The other main reason is family.  I like to think that I provide great support and I have had many of my customers write in to me to tell me so.   But over the past year or so I have had a few harass me either when they didn't understand what the component actually did or when they wanted me to add a feature that the component didn't have.  I wish this could be my full time job, but in reality, I have a family to support.  I would love to add each and every feature to the components and support every third party component Joomla has to offer but I just don't have the time.

This is my way of solving these issues.  I will continue to develop the components and provide support but I am hoping that opening up the components to GPL some others will step up and really make them shine.  The framework I have built is pretty flexible for just about any kind of indexing component.  HTML indexer is on it's way.
